Between the beach and the bush
Gelorup is the quiet achiever between Bunbury and Dalyellup — leafy blocks under the tuarts, room for the trampoline and the boat, and homes that live with their doors open half the year. Open doors are wonderful for the soul and generous to sand: Gelorup sits on some of the sandiest ground in the district, and that fine grey sand migrates indoors with every dog, kid and pair of thongs.
Sand is sneaky in carpet. It sinks straight to the base of the pile where vacuums barely touch it, then grinds at the fibre from below. Carpets in sandy suburbs wear out from the inside unless that grit gets flushed out periodically — which is precisely what hot water extraction does.
Our Gelorup services
- Carpet steam cleaning — deep extraction that pulls the sand and soil out of the base of the pile, not just off the top.
- Upholstery cleaning — where the dog isn't supposed to sleep but clearly does.
- Mattress cleaning — every bedroom freshened in the same visit.
- Vacate cleaning — semi-rural rentals need bigger cleans; we allow for it.
The dog paragraph (you knew it was coming)
Gelorup dogs live outstanding lives — bush walks, beach runs, and a well-earned collapse on the carpet afterwards. We're pet people; we treat hair, tracked-in everything and odours at the source without judgement. For accidents, the first five minutes matter most: our pet stain first-aid guide covers what to do before we arrive, and what to never spray on carpet you care about.
Longer visits, properly planned
Gelorup homes tend to be bigger than the suburban average, with theatre rooms, studies and generous living areas. Tell us the real room count when you book and we'll schedule the time to do it all properly in one visit — carpets, couch and mattresses together is the popular Gelorup combination, and better value than piecemeal bookings.
The post-summer reset
Gelorup summers are lived outdoors — beach mornings, bush-block evenings, sandy feet all season. Come March, that whole summer is resident in your carpet. The single most effective clean of the year here is the post-summer reset: flush out the season's sand and soil before the doors close for winter, while warm afternoons still make for fast dry times. Homes that adopt the March-April clean as an annual ritual genuinely keep their carpets years longer — the sand never gets its winter of grinding.
Fair quoting for bigger blocks
Semi-rural homes get quoted like everything else we do: the actual rooms and surfaces, priced honestly, no travel fee for a suburb that's on our daily southern run. Free quotes on 0401 990 215, usually confirmed within the hour — and if you're bundling the couch and mattresses into the visit, say so up front and we'll price the package properly.

Gelorup cleaning questions
Does sandy soil really damage carpet?
Genuinely, yes — fine sand sinks below vacuum reach and abrades the fibre base every time the carpet is walked on. Periodic deep extraction removes it; that's why sandy-suburb carpets on a cleaning schedule outlast identical carpets without one.
We have multiple dogs — is that a problem?
It's our normal Tuesday. Hair, tracked soil and odours are all treatable; heavy repeated soiling gets an honest assessment of what will fully lift versus improve, before we start.
Can you clean a big home in one visit?
Yes — that's the right way to do it. Mention the room count and any extras (couch, mattresses) when booking and we'll allow proper time rather than rushing it.
Will cleaning completely remove the dog smell?
Fresh and moderate odours, almost always — we treat the source in the fibre rather than perfuming over it. Years of heavy soaking into underlay can be dramatically improved but not always fully erased, and we'll give you that assessment honestly at the walk-through, not after the invoice.
